Marti Cornejo is a Motion designer from Argentina. His work spans from 2d to 3D and most of the times there’s a character involved!
(All artists have to answer the same 10 questions.)
1. First and Last Name
Marti Carcia Cornejo
2. Where are you from? And where are you currently living?
Buenos Aires, Argentina. And I’m still based on my native country.
3. What’s your main influences?
I enjoy finding influences in other fields, like Philosophy, literature, Sciences and Music. And then try to relate it with a few visual references of course. I love the history of Arts. So visiting the past of the Arts and design is always a good way to go straight ahead to my next future..
4. How was your path until this moment? How did you start?
Drawing since I was a kid, I just left the discipline in my adolescence to devote myself to the music.
Then I started the Graphic Design degree in Buenos Aires University and by a coincidence (or by an order from the inconcient). When I finish I started working on some Motiongraphics studio. Suddenly, I continue working in an international agency where I combined my skills with knowledge from other disciplines.
And currently, I started my own little studio and I am just giving all for that.
(…)I started the Graphic Design degree (…) and by a coincidence (…)When I finish I started working on some Motiongraphics studio.
5. Where do you see yourself next?
Not sure really. I am planning to work the most I can and try to enjoy the day with my girlfriend and friends. So then fortune will only move the pieces instead me.
6. Knowing what you know now, what would be your advice for people in the same area?
Find your own relation between multiple influences. It could be a book, a song, an art style, a simple talk with your friend. All the things are there since the hypercomunnication, but the relation you create, the things you decide to take or leave, is only yours.
(…) the relation you create, the things you decide to take or leave, is only yours
Then, Try to work hard, but don’t get too crazy. Try to enjoy it. Just “Try”, don’t be absolutist. Cause it doesn’t really worth the “15 minutes of fame”.
7. Is there something you are terrible at :)?
A lot of! but probably, the worst: to clean my house :S
8. Tell us 3 things you like
- Stay in home in rainy days
9. And 3 things you don’t
- Big groups
- Trendy talks
10. Last question, what are you listening at the moment (band, specific music or album)
